Rent a boat in La Certosa near Venice

Renting a boat in Venice with GoBoat is easy. Book online and arrive at La Certosa 15 minutes before your sailing time begins.

Everyone can sail a GoBoat. We will teach you how, the rules of sailing in the lagoon and show you how to navigate. Have a look at how sailing a GoBoat works.

Rules and information

  • Opening hours: 10.30 am to sunset.
  • The person renting must be 18 years old.
  • Swimming is allowed - ask our crew where to swim on your route on the day.
  • 8 people per boat. No license or prior experience needed.
  • 2 items of alcohol permitted per person - none for the captain.
  • A GoBoat's speed is about 3 knots (5-7 km/h).
  • As the Venetian Canals are very busy, GoBoats are not allowed to sail in them. Instead we focus on the beautiful Venetian Lagoon.
  • Online rebooking until 24 hours before departure. Refund available before 72 hours before departure.

Enjoy a picnic at sea

We recommend taking food and drinks with you on your trip. You can buy both drinks and snacks at GoBoat. If you book online, we'll have it ready for your when you arrive. Or add drinks and snacks at check in.

If you would like to order food on board, you can pre order food with your booking. You'll sail 5 min to Green Island, where you can pick up the food (we'll point you in the right direction). Food from Green Iland is available at selected times. The booking system will let you know.
